Abstract: Enabling Sustainability Culture is a new mandate for HR and Organizational Development professionals. Much of the attention on Sustainability focuses on the CSR programs and sustainable business practices. However, there is a new imperative to turn the attention more inward to the individuals by developing Sustainability as a capability and as a culture that enables employees to practice conscience-driven sustainability behaviors as a collective habit. OD professionals play a pivotal role in enabling this imperative to be realized. In this learning session, Jun Roy will impart valuable insights and practical frameworks and tools from NRI on how OD can enable Sustainability culture. At the end of this session, the participants will be able to appreciate their role in, and explain the different frameworks about, enabling sustainability culture.
Key points:
Among the important topics include:
• Understanding Sustainability, Sustainable Development and Corporate Social Responsibility
• The Imperative for Enabling Sustainability Culture and the role of OD in Enabling Sustainability Culture
• NRI Framework on How to Develop Sustainability as a Capability
• NRI Framework on How to Build Sustainability Culture
• NRI Framework on Managing Sustainability Culture Transformation
